Monthly Meeting is on the 3rd Monday of every month at 6:00pm. The meeting for November is cancelled, and the next meeting is scheduled for December 15th. .
Stay tuned for update. Oxnard Jet Center is sponsoring a first Saturday fly-in in January. It will be at the Oxnard Jet Center and be from 11:00am - 2:00pm. Plans are in the works to get guest speakers at this fly-in. Stay tuned for additional announcements.
Airline travelers go to IFlyOxnard. The department of airports sponsored commercial travel to Oxnard and Ventura country.
Updates
The department of airports will be presenting results for the threashold relocation study to the Airport Authority. This will move the threashold on runway 25 back to the original location, and allow for more business flights into the aiport which are limited by insurance requirements. This will also bring much needed business to Oxnard.
You may have noticed a lot of construction on the west end of the airport this is to cover over a drainage ditch that the FAA deemed unsafe for aircraft operations. This project is almost complete.
Gate 9 will be in service soon as soon as the service crew is done. Also in December, Airport operations will be starting maintenance inspection program in December to work on hangars.

Riverside: Take a
1 hour flight into California's history. In about one hour from OXR and
you can be landing at the Flabob airport. Have a great breakfast at the
funky Flabob Airport Cafe' and then catch a cab* (approx $6+ dollars) into
historic downtown Riverside. Once your in Riverside visit the historic Mission
Inn ( www.missioninn.com ). You can
walk around yourself or take the 90 minute tour of the Inn ($10 per person). By the end of
the tour you'll be ready for a fantastic lunch at one of their many restaurants.
And if you really want to treat yourself spend the night at the Mission Inn.

talking about, if you've never been there your in for a real treat.
*PS, If you carry bikes in your plane it's not a bad ride into town.
